About Us
Birds of a Feather (BOAF) is a vibrant residential 55+ community on the outskirts of Pecos, New Mexico. We are a close-knit, LGBT-friendly community currently consisting of about 18 homes nestled in the foothills bordering the Santa Fe National Forest. Another 20+ lots are available as custom build sites. Over just the last 4 years, we have grown our circle with 7 new homes.
Life at BOAF is both lively and peaceful. Residents enjoy hiking, golfing, gardening, bike riding and other outdoor pursuits in the four-season paradise that is northern New Mexico. There's a book group, and poker and wine clubs, as well as ongoing potlucks for any and every occasion. Santa Fe and all it offers is just 35 minutes away.
Our connection to nature is part of our identity and central to our life as a community. Residents enjoy walking our beautiful roads and trails, including 80 acres of woodlands and meadows the community has recently acquired and set aside as a nature preserve.
